Oktoberfest at The Duke

Get ready to raise a stein and celebrate Oktoberfest in true Bavarian style at The Duke William!

We’ll be pouring Paulaner & Paulaner Oktoberfest beers on draft, alongside a hand-picked selection of authentic German bottled beers.

Our special Oktoberfest menu will be served all weekend, with a BBQ on Saturday from midday (weather permitting), bringing hearty flavours to match the beer.

Enjoy live music on Friday & Saturday night – the perfect soundtrack to a night of beer, food and fun in the village:
Friday 3rd Oct 5–7pm - Ricotta Layer, 7-9pm - Gez Gold.
Saturday 4th Oct 7–9pm, from Rustbelt Preacher, featuring Andy Lester, Phil Curry and Jeannie Clarke.

Get into the spirit in your finest lederhosen costumes, and get a free Paulaner on the house!

Christmas Wreath Making

We’re delighted to welcome Louise from East Kent Flower Company back this November for one of our favourite festive traditions of the season.

On Wed 26th Nov 2025, join us for a cosy evening of creativity in our outside heated conservatory as Louise guides you step by step to make your own door wreath using fresh foliage, moss, and seasonal decorations. No experience is needed, and everyone goes home with a wreath to be proud of.

£75 per person including a glass of mulled wine or fizz and festive nibbles on arrival, with all tools and materials provided. Please note, age 18+ only.

Sinterklaas Christmas Market

6th December traditionally marks Sinterklaas, the much-loved Dutch festive tradition where the kind and generous Saint Nicholas arrives bearing gifts and sweet treats for children. We’re bringing some of that seasonal magic to The Duke William with our very own Christmas Market.
We’re now taking applications for small and local businesses to hold a stall—vendors will be carefully selected to offer visitors a varied and high-quality market experience. £35 per stall, a great opportunity to boost your sales before Christmas.
